The NCAA is back in session as teams around the country opened up conference play and its safe to say that the holidays were abound with some brand new sneakers for some college budgets. Oregon continues to get laced up in the premium Beaverton connection, sporting the usual enticingly vibrant Nike Zoom Soldier 7s and Nike KD 6s. Meanwhile, the Tar Heels faced off against Wake Forest in an ACC battle that also doubled as a proving ground for which team sported the better Jordans while the Demon Deacons took home the victory, its still up for you to decide who had the better set of kicks as plenty of Jordan CP3.VIIs and even a University Blue Air Jordan II  made appearances.

Consumers warned about pseudo sales

Dec 26, 2013   //   by Abbey Strutt   //   No Comments

Consumer groups warned shoppers to be on their guard against ‘pseudo-sales’, in which prices are inflated just before they are discounted so that the deal looks better than it actually is.

Consumer group Which? has urged shoppers to be vigilant of such tactics and warned them to ‘know their shopping rights for the Boxing Day sales’.

Under Trading Standards rules, pre-sale prices should be the last price at which goods were offered, and the goods should have been at that price for 28 consecutive days in the previous six months.

Some shoppers vented their frustration on social media: “Chelsea Corcoran wrote: ‘The shoes I wanted are more expensive in the sale than they were originally, what?”

Dec 19, 2013   //   by Abbey Strutt   //   No Comments

Experts agree, the key to keeping your skin young and elastic is adequate moisture, exfoliation and sunscreen. Although, adding an anti-aging product to your daily routine makes a huge difference as well. Three of my personal favorites include Advanced Time Zone Night by Estee, Hydroxatone AM/PM and invigorating night gel by Ole Henrickson.

The intensive daytime/nighttime care by Hydroxatone® is an AM/PM Anti-Wrinkle Complex for Sensitive Skin and helps to reduces the appearance of wrinkles and hydrate otherwise parched dermis. Ad

So youre one for adopting a new fragrance, every once in a while, who isnt? Right when you think you have browsed them all, youre not quite sure if the one you whiffed before is caring over the scent from the previous and the one you are smelling now has merged all three concoctions of notes. Ah ha! fragrance shopping is just one of those chores. Starts off great, clear frame of reference, then suddenly you are swept into a montage of the last 5 fragrances you sniffed, creating more than a light headed confusion and a lingering nausea.

Though you would love to forget, were sure you remember quite vividly. The Valentino smelt just like the Stella, and now over to the Viktor & Rolf only to have the fragrance girl do a cutsey sashay over to the dare we say Cartier.
