February 26th, 2011 >> Fashion Quotes

Clearly, Natalie Portman and her stylist Kate Young enjoy pulling what we call a Sharon Stone wearing great designer clothes (Stone favored Vera Wang, Valentino, Versace), but then suddenly pulling a fast one and switching it up like Sharon Stone did by wearing a Gap turtleneck to the Oscars one year. Natalie wore Lanvin for H M to one event this season but shes a friend of Lanvin designer Alber Elbaz, so that didnt seem too strange. Now she wore a white H Mdress to a Vanity Fair event in Hollywood this week showing her penchant for wearing white, and for being extremely open in what shell wear. Its a truly open minded fashion attitude.

New York Fashion Week started with a bang on Wednesday night in NY with an Amfar benefit ball to celebrate fashion week. And of course, a number of MAJOR we mean MAJOR dresses showed up as well as some major people. Model Karen Elson showed up in an incredible white Versace Spring 2011 strapless gown, making January Jones red Versace Globe dress practically obsolete. This white beaded fringe gown is just rad, really. Its just a reality that models often look better in runway clothes than actresses do. Former French Vogue editor turned-stylist Carine Roitfeld wore a Givenchy spring couture gown also white that rocked everyones world.
