Inspired By: New York Fashion Week Style

For the past several weeks, fashion’s cream of the crop-top editors, stylists, buyers, and more-have fielded invitations to runway shows, carefully created new outfits, and mentally prepped for their most chaotic time of year: New York Fashion Week. But while everyone’s eyes will be glued to the runways, where designers will showcase their dazzling F/W 12 collections, right now we’re feeling most Inspired By NYFW street style! Fashion Week means a deluge of directional dressers will descend upon the streets of Manhattan, and in the past, we’ve spotted some of the most inspiring ensembles on these folks. The story followed Pejic in fittings and rehearsals for Jean Paul Gaultiers Fall/Winter 2012/2013 menswear show last week (above) and Fridays Michalksy womenswear show at Berlin Fashion Week. During one scene filmed inside his Paris agency, New Madison, a booker revealed that he has been booked for this weeks haute couture shows. One specific haute couture show is possibly a safe bet: Jean Paul Gaultiers show on Wednesday. Full Article…

Accessory Report: T-Strap Heels

While we’ve spent the last twelve months experimenting with some pretty memorable footwear-like bright oxfords, high-fashion sneakers, and velvet slippers, to name a few-lately, we’re appreciating modern takes on classic styles! Case in point: t-strap heels. Though often understated and most commonly associated with ’20s flappers and ballroom dancers, t-strap heels have made one heck of a return to the limelight this season, via an array of supremely chic designs. Managing to be sophisticated, ladylike, and sexy all at the same time, t-strap heels have quickly become a favorite among designers and the style-minded set, making them the perfect topic of discussion in this year’s first Accessory Report!
