Holiday Sparkle

Jan 17, 2014   //   by Rory Tunbridge   //   No Comments

EYE CATCHING

No other time of year is as perfect to wear sparkle as right now. With so many holiday fetes just around the corner, prep your closet with a few keys pieces that will shine through the gloomy weather. Whether you make a demure sparkle statement by wearing a hint of sequin, or you go full-boar by piling on the bling, there really isn`t a wrong way to wear some shine. What we love about this season`s crop of sequins, is that while the flash is still there, the sparkle is set against black, making all of these items easier to wear, while still maintaining an air of chic luxury.

Rachelle’s November Fashion Favourites

Dec 27, 2013   //   by Rory Tunbridge   //   No Comments

RACHELLES NOVEMBER LUST LIST

This season, it seems our fair Rachelle has a penchant for grey, of the heather variety, and pieces that mix up black and gold. While the weather outside continues to be frightful, youll find our creative director tackling winter head-on, wearing only the most stylish pieces around. Mixing together the perfect cold weather ensemble (save for the black tights, which we should all have by now, anyway!), Ms. Saevils insider sartorial tips are ones to make note of. Hopefully this outfit inspired will help get you through tribulations of winter dressing.

With the colder temps upon us, Im drawn to cosy, cable knit sweaters. The fact that this one is heather grey is the best part! Ill be bundling up in this all month long. Gap sweater, $32, Gap.com

Im in love with the contrast between the gold and black on this MK watch. It

Black Friday

BLACK CELEBRATION

Unless youre willing to brave the intense cross border traffic, not many Canadians have truly experienced BlackFriday. Until now. Thanks to the increasing pressure for those north of the border to create a similar holiday buzz to the American post-Thanksgiving sales, we can now spend, spend, spend on our favourite items at a fraction of the cost. The Cadillac Fairview stable of shopping malls (which includes Torontos Eaton Centre and Shops at Don Mills, Pacific Centre in Vancouver, Galeries d’Anjou in Montréal, and more) are all opening their doors early to host Black Friday sales. And a roster of online shopping sites are getting in on the action as well. Head to Gilt.com for free shipping to Canada and up to 80 percent off of Zac Posen, Missoni and more. FRM

Makeup Monday: Urban Decay Naked 3 Tutorial

Nov 18, 2013   //   by Rory Tunbridge   //   No Comments

If you’ve been following me on instagram (or Gloss Daily), you already know how excited I am for Urban Decay’s latest Naked installment: the Naked 3 Palette! Why am I excited, when there are already two great palettes in the collection? Because this one is perfectly suited for my cool, pale coloring. While I love the first two palettes (and continue to use them), many of their shades look best on warmer tones. This one, which consists of an array of rosy hued neutrals, isn’t too cool or too warm that I would definitively label it as either one, but it’s definitely the palette I was waiting for. Do you need all three? Of course not, but this one is different enough from the first two that I recommend checking it out. Full Article…
