Johnny Was Hits Sundance Film Festival by Deborah Belgum

Jan 24, 2013   //   by Rory Tunbridge   //   No Comments

Oh, those lucky people who get to attend the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah.

Not only do they see scads of films, but they also receive lots of free stuff at gifting suites.

One of those companies giving away things was the Los Angeles apparel and retail company Johnny Was, known for its embroidered blouses, tunics and dresses as well as brightly colored jewelry.

Several big-name stars dropped by, such as Courtney Love, Daryl Hannah, Dermot Mulroney, Paris Hilton and Jane Lynch.

They were treated to bracelets made from turquoise Japanese beads with antique brass as well as pieces from Johnny Was’ six collections such as Biya Collection, 4 Love and Liberty, Pete & Greta and JWLA.

Johnny Was was founded by Eli Levite some 25 years ago and is named after a refrain (Johnny was a good man) sung by Bob Marley.
