Strapless dresses are a seductive and yet classy choice for cocktail parties and formal outings. But you can just spoil this look by constantly tugging and pulling at your dress, trying to keep it up. In spite of endless strapless dress tips out there, most women still fail to wear then with the right way.
Girls, any strapless dress, fitted well at the waist won’t fall down. Instead spend more time on picking the right. For instance, this gorgeous Shoshanna dress has a slightly gathered top. The advantage here is that you can opt for a padded bra to make the dress fit tightly at the bust and help it stay in place. If it is already fitting then you can go for a thinner strapless bra. Since the outfit is ruffled and gathered around the breast area, chances of things getting nippier are eliminated.
Another solution is the strapless Longline bra. It is like a camisole that accentuates your contours and gives a slimming effect. You can wear it with or without pads as per your choice. I generally prefer wearing a camisole rather than just a strapless bra because it helps carry the weight of the dress. So, if you are using a sticky tape for keeping the dress glued to your inners, the overall support is better. Strapless bras are weighed down by the dress.

The Hollywood tape is the latest bosom buddy for women who have strapless dress woes. The insiders of the fashion tape are soft, smooth and moisture-wicking. The self-adhesive fabric liners can be worn with all kinds of strapless dresses. They don’t cause any irritation on the skin or ruin your dress by sticking very harshly to it.
These are simple and effective ways to keep your strapless dress in place. A few other pointers that can be useful here are-
- Avoid pulling the dress up in a public place. What are rest rooms for
- Keep a couple of extra sticky tapes in your clutch for emergencies
- Plastic or transparent bras can be used too although they are not elegant enough for formal functions
