‘I have after work drink events and parties to attend over December and I don’t want to spend money on party-wear I wont wear again. I also don’t have time to go home and change.

Do have you any advice on how I can transform my work look into a party look with minimum fuss and expense?’

A Why not try a black tux style suit? This wardrobe staple will work perfectly for the office worn with a blouse and courts.

After hours slip on shimmering heels, switch your day bag to a sequin clutch and apply a stronger lippy and you’re good to go! You can get major mileage out of a versatile tux.

Try replacing your work blouse with a gold tee shirt or replace your black tux jacket with a white one for after hours. The addition of bold drop earrings or a statement necklace can really transform a black suit into party-friendly wear.

Sugar/Sweets – Sugary treats like candy canes and gingerbread speeds up breakdown of collagen and elastin in the skin. This makes your skin weaker causing dreaded wrinkles.

Processed Meats – These easy luncheon options are high in sodium causing you to retain water and swell. Swelling and deflating from these foods can hurt the natural elasticity in your skin making it loose.

Alcohol – We all know that indulging in too many cocktails over the season wreaks havoc on your whole system. Drinking too much dehydrates your skin a lot causing a host of problem if your skin doesn’t get back the moisture it needs.

Caffeine – While some caffeine can be good for your skin, drinking too much tea, coffee and hot chocolate can dehydrate your body leaving your skin dry. It also effects your system, which can lead to sleepless nights and stress causing breakouts.

Review: Revlon Grow Luscious Lash Liners

Nov 18, 2011   //   by Gabriella Conybeare   //   No Comments

I’ve finally got around to swatching these liners from Revlon that contain conditioners to help lashes stay in good health. I’m really impressed! They glide onto the skin absolutely effortlessly and although there are only three colours, Onyx, Espresso and Emerald, they’re all very deep, rich shades – Emerald has a kick of shimmer, too.
The feel of the formula is feather-light and ultra silky – really gorgeous. I’ve used them on the top lid and water line and although I have a problem keeping anything on my water line for long, they really did have some staying power, and didn’t budge for hours from the top lid. At £6.29 I think they are very good value for the quality.  Have you tried these eyeliners? What do you think?
