Kick it up this winter with a pair of moto-inspired boots, like the Payton from Cat Footwear. A well-heeled steal for stomping around in the cold, grab a pair half a size bigger than normal to fit in those comfy wool socks, letting them show while you’re at it. Paired with skinny jeans and a plaid shirt or a flowy skirt and tights, these bad boys were made for weekend brunch with the girls.
Boots, $189.99, Cat Footwear, available at catfootwear.com.

Last year was an exciting year for major collaborations between designers and large chain stores; Missoni for Target and Versace for H&M just to name two. Our hopes (more like predictions) for 2012 were set on experiencing vintage collaborations. To our pleasant surprise, vintage fashioneers, American Apparel has infused its scarf collection with vintage YSL, Calvin Klein, Kenzo, Pierre Cardin, Oscar de la Renta , Coach and DVF pieces. Of course, you can always come by the American Apparel store on Lincoln Road and explore the possibilities.

Case in point: t-strap heels. Though often understated and most commonly associated with ’20s flappers and ballroom dancers, t-strap heels have made one heck of a return to the limelight this season, via an array of supremely chic designs. Managing to be sophisticated, ladylike, and sexy all at the same time, t-strap heels have quickly become a favorite among designers and the style-minded set, making them the perfect topic of discussion in this year’s first Accessory Report!
When selecting the ideal runway reference for today’s report, the Emilio Pucci Resort 12 collection seemed like the most fitting choice. Full Article…

1. Skip The Dip Dye — you it, we it, but dip dying can be seriously taxing on your hair since the darker the hue the more bleach you need to use for optimum effect. We say try simple clip-in extensions if you like your tresses bright and bold.
2.
